I get asked questions like these A LOT. ⬇️⁣ ⁣ •Did you always love art?⁣ •Have you painted/drawn all of your life?⁣ •Where did you learn to do nail art?⁣ •How did you get into doing nail art? ⁣ ⁣ 1. Yes, I’ve always loved art. My mum is super super artistic and I know for a fact that it rubbed off on me. She has dabbled in all forms of art. I also think she is in large part to thank for my creative mind! 🧠 ⁣ ⁣ 2. I loved drawing when I was young. I doodled on everything. My writing and my doodles were very cartoon-y, bubbly & round (hence why my nail art isn’t as realistic as I’d like it to be!). I started painting in high school. I painted the stage backdrop for (I think) the entire 4 years I was there.. funny how it went from such a large scale to a tiny nail. Side note : I spent a lot of my spares/lunches in either the music room or the art room! 🖼 ⁣ ⁣ 3. I taught myself how to do nail art. Years ago there was no YouTube videos, Instagram, etc to search and learn. If I saw something, I just DID IT. I would do, remove, try again, attempt it another way.. over and over until I liked what I saw! 🙈⁣ ⁣ 4. My mom did nail art on me when I was a little girl.. and I wonder if it somehow stuck with me. I remember her doing watermelons when I went back to school & I thought I’d be the coolest kid ever (I was probably in grade 2 or something!) 🍉 ⁣ ⁣ Art inspo from the seriously talented @heatherday 💟
